We Just Made Our First Donation!

If you’ve already had a chance to browse our site, you’ve probably learned a few things about us, like we think supporting important causes is an important thing to do and that we have a cute dog!  If you haven’t visited the about page yet, go on.. we’ll wait!  Welcome Back! Now you know that for each custom set of pencils or personalized hexagon or carpenter pencil we sell we donate 10¢! Are you ready to share in our excitement? Drum roll please..

 

Pencilify just made its first official donation for $32.00 to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU).

 

We know what you’re thinking, a $32 donation isn’t much; but it is still a very exciting step for us!  What’s just as exciting, is that means we have sold 320 personalized pencils!  Actually, that breaks down to roughly 120 custom carpenter pencils and nearly 200 personalized hexagon pencils! We are pretty darn proud of that fact!  We wouldn’t have been able to do it without our friends, family, customers and their urge for awesome personalized pencils!

To tell the truth, we thought Pencilify and personalized pencils sounded a little crazy.  Not counting ourselves, who would even want to buy just 5 or 10 custom pencils at a time?  Turns out you do – as gifts, for your kids at school and for your small businesses!  Needless to say, we are thrilled to make the first donation of what we hope to be many.  Let’s keep making the world a better place, one custom cedar pencil at a time!

So in addition to saying Thank You to our customers, we also want to give a little background on why we chose the ACLU as one of the foundations we think is important.

Who is the American Civil Liberties Union?

The ACLU works in courts, communities and more to defend and protect the rights and liberties guaranteed to all people in the United States by the Constitution and Laws.

Why did Pencilify Donate to the ACLU?

This should be pretty obvious but it’s because we believe that everybody deserves to be treated fair and equally – and after the last few years, that’s especially important to us! The ACLU fights for Immigration Rights, LGBTQ+ Rights, Racial Justice and so much more.. we definitely think its a cause worth supporting.
